Steering Committee Meeting 5

The 5th Steering Committee Meeting took place as scheduled from July 8th to 9th in Regensburg. Hosted by the German project partners, Strategische Partnerschaft Sensorik e.V. (Strategic Partnership for Sensor Technology) and the OTH Regensburg, the meeting took place at TechBase on Tuesday morning and all day on Wednesday, and at the OTH Regensburg on Tuesday afternoon.

The SC5 meeting brought together project staff from all project partners from all participating countries and provided a valuable opportunity to deepen collaboration beyond the regular online sessions. Discussions focused on the project status, the progress of the pilot measures, and preparation for upcoming milestones.

The meeting enabled a productive exchange on pilot measures, particularly on test plans for the “Room of Horror” and CPR training for children and babies. The face-to-face exchange proved particularly effective for evaluating VR tools, clarifying technical requirements, and gathering feedback on the application’s usability and educational impact.

In particular, the update to the CPR application and the demo of the “RoH” allowed participants to experience current features firsthand and identify potential for improvement. In-depth discussions also addressed patient data handling, hardware requirements, and improved realism for hospital environments.

The in-person presence strengthened collaboration among the regional partners, promoted clearer communication, and facilitated the coordination of upcoming rollout events and sustainability planning. The meeting concluded with concrete action points for the coming months until the end of the project. The results will be presented at the final conference in February 2026.

This in-person meeting underscored the importance of personal interaction in complex international projects, enabling deeper understanding and accelerating progress in all areas of work.
